Finding an available day for your appointment is the FIRST STEP. We understand how hard it is to get everyone together, so we're staying open later on Tuesdays and on select Saturdays.
TWO appointment options
Studio Standard
Our Standard Studio appointments are great for both families and children and allows for thirty minutes of photography anywhere on our studio property. It is perfect for a few groupings in a single outfit. If multiple outfits or extended families are being photographed we recommend the extended appointment. Includes hollyood lighting and posing, private dressing room, luxury studio with a full acre portrait garden.With this option, $199 credit can go toward any of our collections which combines the most popular products we offer.

Extended Studio or Location
Our most popular appointment offered Tuesdays to Fridays for both families and children. This extended appointment allows for sixty minutes of photography at our studio or on location. It is perfect for multiple groupings of large families, or several outfits if photographing children. Select weekend appointments are available for an additional $50.With this option, $299 credit can go toward any of our collections which combines the most popular products we offer..

1. You'll receive photographic products that exceed your expectations. With our 25+ years of experience, we know what we're doing! This is our FULL TIME job, we are no weekend photog that is still learning how to use their camera.

The studio with a number of rooms to shoot inside and a full acre outside that includes hundreds of backgrounds and unique sets for any age or any occasion. We understand that if you're at ease and having fun, the photos will reflect that. And, did we mention a private dressing room? It should go without saying, but you won't have to change in public or in your car.

The Faces Behind House of Photography
Greg is a nationally published photographer and retired university photography professor of over 29 years. His interest in photography started at age 13. He has a passion for all things photography, especially teaching others.
Cindy graduated from SFA with a degree in Education. She keeps the ship sailing smoothly while steering clear of storms. She is the joy in joyful, the laugh in laughter and the voice on the phone when you call the studio. She is also Greg's wife of 30+ years.

The Victorian Studio
Our studio was located in the historic Victorian home built for Albert A. Nelson in 1898. The home has seen many changes and owners over the past 100 plus years. It was designed by Diedrich Rulfs, who designed more than 50 homes, churches and buildings in Nacogdoches from the 1880s until the 1920s. Many are listed as Texas Historical Landmarks or National Register Landmarks. We have recently moved out of this space but still maintain the property. Our new location is close and reserved for scheduled appointments.
The Portrait Garden
House of Photography boasts the only portrait garden in all of Deep East Texas. With greenery and colorful blooms year round, our garden includes a beautiful country gazebo, quaint pond complete with waterfall, rock flower beds, arbors, pergola, rock and stone paths.
We often hear clients say that they are utterly amazed at the variety of looks we can achieve from within our garden. This East Texas secret treasure is shared with our friends at The Cottage Restaurant.
